blue boar at aldbourne

It starts in a pub every second Sunday at 11am and finsihes at the same pub for a quick pint or for lunch if you fancy that. What more could you ask for?

The pub is chosen by a runner who then sets a trail using flour that morning around the area. For runners the distance is five or six miles and three to four miles for walkers. The idea is to get everyone back to the pub at the same time.

It is called the Kennet Valley Hash House Harriers and you can visit them at www.kvhh.co.uk and see where they have been and where they will be. All the pubs are in North Wiltshire.

There is no organisation, just a Grand Old Master (the GOM) who circulates everyone and makes sure there is a schedule. That’s it!

There are several active members in the village, Viv and John Coppens, Vince and Harriet Salva, Fiona and Maurice Spillane so ask any of us if you fancy a walk or a run. Dogs and children are very welcome.

Most of the regulars come from Liddington, Chiseldon, Wanborough and Aldbourne as well as further afield so it’s also a great opportunity to meet other people. It’s great fun and it keeps you fit!
