Borders and airports were closed as the rioting burnt the Parliament and Palace, police stations and ministers’ houses.
The group broke curfew and got out of Kathmandu and deviated to the Khumba Trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. A fascinating experience in a dangerous period.
